I have a PL-570 I picked up off flea-bay. None of the automatic functions worked. First, I completely disassembled the TT and put a cherry veneer on it. I fixed the cracked motor gear with a 3D printed bandaid solution, (works very well so far). With the auto tonearm drop function working and calibrated, I noticed the auto-return was not working. (Of course, you fool you dissembled the TT and moved the detector slits). I downloaded the manual and read the procedure for setting the return detector switch operating voltage. Since I was going to muck with this anyway, I recapped all of the boards. (See other threads). I 3D printed the necessary tonearm jig, (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3634521) and hooked up my Fluke to the pins the manual specified. The voltage at v101 read 14v. Hmmm, I spun v101 and still measured 14v. I then de-oxed v101 and now it worked. I followed the procedure and got it to 2.6 volts.
WORKING AUTO-RETURN!!! Yay.. Now for other issues....
