Pioneer PL-6 (older 1965 model)

Good evening. I found a great looking Pioneer PL-6 the other day. It's cosmetically sound but needs some love under the hood. First it'smissing the spindle. Second, the motor mounts seem to be rotting causing the motor to sit uneven this not making contact with the idler wheel at 33. Any one have a line on where to find parts for this or if there is another pioneer model that I can interchange? Any insight would be appreciated.

Can you post a pic so that we can be certain we're all on the same page? Pioneer, IIRC, had more than one PL-6.

Sorry for the delay. Yes its from 1965. Under the platter or it s PL-6U. Thanks for the link metalownz, I'll look into those. Really hard to find one of these for parts. I did see a pl-7 recently. Are those interchangeable?

The spindle for the PL-7 is bigger so no. But a splindle for a PL-6A would work. So you’ll find one eventually. All 3 of these models are very rare so you may have to wait a bit.

Ok. Thanks! I only noticed 2 motor mounts on the top. I didn't see anything underneath. Thoughts?

They are easy to replace with the ones from the link i sent you. You need 6 though. 3 for the bottom and 3 the top. I used those very ones for my PL-7E

Old thread but the seller is still active and selling grommets. Just picked up 6 for a newly acquired PL-7E. Thanks @Metalownz !

I actually saved the link myself, just in case. And you’re very welcome! Very easy to install and the motor’s in the PL6, PL-6A, and PL-7 are so quiet after doing so!
