Pioneer PL-7 Idler Wheel Opinions?

Hi, I have a friend that has a refurbished Pioneer PL-7 with the idler wheel and wants to trade it for my refurbished Garrard 4HF turntable but I'm having a tough time finding info about the PL-7. Is this a worthy trade? Are people happy with their PL-7s? I really like the Garrard but I have a soft spot for Pioneer gear and I've never seen this early model PL-7.

The PL-7 dates from around 1965. Generally I've found the early Pioneers pretty nice, although basic. Very little on the net I could find on it. The 4HF is supposedly the predecessor to the 301/401's. Ultimately it comes down to you demo'ing the PL-7 against the 4HF, and gor for it or not.
 
Thanks for the insight. They're both cool and functioning nicely so I'll just need to have a listen. My friend really wants the Garrard so I have a feeling I'll do the trade.
