Any experience with it? How it compares with PL-530.
Also picked up an usual black Eur PL-550 on the cheap.
Any suggestions on stylus and quality best on your experience with pl-71

Way to go Brutus! I guess every owner loves his/her table best and opinions vary, but as a longtime owner of the PL-71 (see my avatar!) I'll say I love mine. They do seem to develop issues with the speed control micro switches. The speed will vary...but it's easy to change them and I got the switches from a local electronics supply house.
They look great, and sound wonderful.
I bought my first one back in the mid 70's and then a few years ago my son bought me the one I'm using now for Christmas.
Hope you enjoy it!

I owned a PL-71 for years. Most of its life it had an AT15SA on it, with excellent results. Also used an Empire 4000E/III and some sort of ADC. Gorgeous turntable; loved that real wood veneer.

Great find! I've had my PL-71 since the 70's when I purchased it new. I have a Stanton 681 EEE mounted in the head shell and couldn't be happier. I agree about the speed control micro switches... they failed within a couple of years on my unit though are an easy replacement. Have fun!:music:
