Pioneer pl-750 tt

I like this tt. It has better specs than most of the entry level (fluance, etc) tt's and has a functional auto return. What I'd like to know is, has anyone built a heavier/upgrade platter for this, or if it would even work with the dd system?

It is not very likely that some one has build a heavier /upgrade platter for this particular turn table.

Rotational mass is only good up to a point, especially with a DD TT. No torque multiplication on start up, like on a Idler or belt drive. So putting a heavier platter isn't going to work well with a motor designed to rotate a certain amount of weight. Plus the spindle bearings have to be redesigned and built to be able to carry the weight statically.
