I've got one that is in my office system, and I use a Empire OP5 or a Longhorned Grado Gold1 with 8MZ stylus. It's a great sounding table and is one notch below the PL-9, which was TOTL in that series of tables. I also have a PL-7 that I bought new in 1982. I don't have the specs on the PL-8 but I have the owners manual for the PL-7.

Good luck that PL-8!

Thanks very much for the info....I figured with it being as heavy as it was it couldnt be no slouch....I have played it a lil it sounds good. I have yet to push the receiver to its limit to really compare with my #1 table Sanyo Plus Q50....
