Pioneer PL -A45D Turn Table Belts ?

I've read many threads here giving praise to the Pioneer Pl A45d. There's always at least one poster suggesting to replace the belt with a pioneer belt not a run of the mill knockoff. I've searched a few sites but all I find are belts that are universal fits for many different tables. Where do I find a genuine pioneer belt and what sort of cartridge would be recommended for this table?

Genuine Pioneer belt may be difficult to find.

There are some places that sells good replacement belts though.

A cartridge with medium compliance should be good for the tone arm of the turn table.

What is the approximate price range for the cartridge ?

Im just starting to get my feet wet with vintage audio so would the $100-150 range get something decent ? If there's any cheaper that would get good results Im open to that as well.

Sorry if I reply to this old post. I own a PL-A45D, I have restored everything and it starts working fine. Just a big noise on the electric motor, like an annoying wow. Can anyone help me figure out what the problem could be. Also, the two oil pipes, I ask you if both pipes must contain oil. On mine only one tube contains oil, the second tube is clean and contains no oil. Thanks for your help. Greetings

Both tubes should have oil in them. Each feed a bearing on the motor. The tubes should have a wick inside the tube to hold oil. They become brittle and break. I use 3/32” fuel line as a replacement. Be sure the feed a strong through the new line. The end that goes to the motor must be placed into the bearing carrier. The very small pin removed from the original line must be put on the new line to keep if from pulling out of the bearing carrier.

I found the spindle was void of lube. Disassembly and re-lube fixed this. Sorry to bother. This model A45D didn't have the two oil lines to the motor. I just applied synthetic lube to the rotor and stator area. I'm letting her run on 45 now to get things mixed up good.

PS- The turntable turned out to be absolutely fantastic. No scratches, dings or dents...dust cover is immaculate condition. Kind of odd for me to load a record now and see the void of speed control or rpm strobe....

$40 bought me a nice player with a moving iron Stanton cartridge and stylus is good.
