Pioneer PL-L1000 turntable

I just purchased a Pioneer PL-L1000 turntable from a fellow here in my neck of the woods. I've yet to pick it up but I can't find too much info about it. The Vintageknob lists it as an overseas model that was brought over by servicemen, thus making it a rare turntable. But that's all I could find. Does anyone have any opinions or comments on this beautiful linear tracker from Pioneer?

Go to "Library", scroll down to pioneer, get in there and dowload the .pdf owner´s manual in english.
