Pioneer PL Lateral Balance Weight Interchangeable?

A friend has a Pioneer PL-117D that's missing the Lateral Balance Weight but otherwise OK. Searching has turned up a couple, are they specific to a model? Can the weight from a PL-12D be used for example or should it be from a PL-11x?
