I have had a set of these for well over a year and really like them. There is not much online about these, evidently they are popular in the Asian market as they are commonly up for auction on selling sites there. One review frames these as a forerunner of the Pioneer TAD series. Take a look at the drivers on these- I was impressed by the overall build quality of the S-55T-they seen to be of higher quality than most of Pioneer’s mass marketed products.

I had the st100's and they sounded great. These seem to be the original upgraded version. Would love to hear them

Those definitely look like imports from the Japanaese market that aren't available in the US. Bet they were brought to the States by a member of our military. Always liked the sound from speakers with the MTM driver arrangement. Pair those bad boys up with a couple of good subs.
