Hello everybody. New member of the forum here, and also wanted to introduce myself. Last year i had the chance to buy a decent looking pioneer pl 10 tt for a good price, but without any amp or speakers at home. I borrowed a hitachi ha m-70 amp with some homemade speakers. Recently i moved to the city and wanted to move up.
After some reading i decided to buy a pioneer sa 6500II which is on its way. I also need to mention i live in germany so a lot of good old vintage stuff is crazy expensive. if you are licky you can find treasures in the thrash and if not, pay big.
In the meantime however i bought a couple of magnat all ribbon 6 speakers and never even thought of comparing the specifications, and whow, the pioneer is a 30w amp and the speakers are rated at 100 nominal 150 peak power.
And my question to you is are they going to work together or cause trouble? i normaly listen at normal volumes and sometimes crank it up a bit, but not so much that you cant have a normal conversation without shouting.
Also with the hitachi, which is a 50w amp, they work fine until now. ussualy listen with the volume dial pointed at nr.2.
