Pioneer SA-750 = Realistic SA-1600?

Hi everyone,
at a local charity/flea shop, I saw yesterday an integrated amp of an unknown brand to me : Realistic. Quite heavy (good point), good shape, faceplate looks like it comes from mid-80s... Interesting... I looked today on the net to gather informations about it... nothing but "realistic is a pioneer in disguise"... ok. So I searched on the pioneer side and was surprised to see that the Pioneer SA-750 looks exactly the same as the Realistic, like identical twins.
My questions are : is it the same on the inside?
Anyone knows the Pioneer SA-750?
The price of the Realistic was around 20 ~ 30€... worth it?

It may be similar styling, but I don't believe that pioneer made anything for radio shack. I believe all of their equipment was built by the Tandy Electronics corporation and used their own designs.

The price is right if all functions of the amp work fine.

Realistic is indeed a discontinued brand owned by RadioShack Corporation (formerly Tandy Corporation). Found this on wiki :

As you said jpdylon, there seem to be no link between pioneer and realistic...
But the similarity remains... Let's keep on searching...

[Realistic] STA-2000 was a mid-late-70's Pioneer clone. Many people thought it was actually made by Pioneer because some of its components are stamped "Pioneer," but companies like Pioneer, Hitachi and Trio/Kenwood sold components to other manufacturers all the time. Most RS receivers during this period came either from the factories that manufactured Sherwood, Hitachi or Foster/Fostex products, but don't confuse the factory facility with the design. Even if it used the same chassis or even faceplates, it was spec'd for RS and possibly even designed by them.
