Pioneer SA-7700 amplifier

ekmanning5

Time has told me...
I picked up a Pioneer SA-7700 amplifier today. I did a search and wasn't able to find out much info on this particular model. Neither Classic Audio nor the Silver Pioneer site had anything on it. Does anyone have one? Likes? Dislikes? Also mine has a burned out bulb on one of the meters. Looks very difficult to access. Any tips?
Thanks all.

I think it's a 50WPC unit. Try doing a search here as I found a fair bit of information and opinions on it.

Initially I coudn't get much info from a search, probably input error on my part. Since my post however I've read most of what's on AK about it. Thanks.

There were two versions of the SA-7700. One from 1978, and one from 1979.

Here are photos of both:

Interesting.
Dr Strangelove that second one is a dead ringer for the SA-610 I have here.
Nice sounding and plenty of power.

Here's a couple of pics. Have it in with the TX-9100 tuner, a Pioneer PL-41 TT that I picked up last week, and a pair of Polk Monitor 10's.
