Hi everybody,
yesterday, while my sa 7800 was playing some music, the protection went off and I saw a little smoke coming out... Upon inspection, the two power transistors of the right channel resulted shorted, three resistors seem a bit scorched and the driver transistors are dead as well...
Last year I did a "gentle" restoration, replacing some capacitors and the pot trimmers. Everything worked flawlessly until yesterday.
Has anyone recently replaced those transistors?
Apart from the On-Semi MJL 3281 and Mjl 1302 which seem good candidates, I'm not sure what else to use as replacement.
All the lists I have found seem to contain out of stock or obsolete components; unfortunately I am not well-versed in the subject to do my own thing.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
