the front of the SD is dirty :sigh: Unfortunately, the front connections associated with the back.
you can unscrew from the inside or you need to solder :scratch2:

wow, that's a nice one:thmbsp: I have been lookin for one myself as well now quite a while.. I like to pair one up wit my SA-9100/TX-9100/CT-F7171/PL-71, that would make a beautifull 1974 setup...

May I ask; where did you find yours?? Is it from Europe or did you got it from the States?? I have been lookin locally, but without succes. that famous auction site show some of them occasionally in the USA, but I alway get outbid in the last second... the story we all know..

Have fun with your scope! she's a pure beauty, would love to see one for real some day.

yes the SA-9100/TX-9100/CT-F7171/PL-71 is a nice setup, i like pioneer :drool:

the sd is from the usa, the device was defective offer and now the sd running :music:
I did the last time in a couple seen in ebay usa and 3,4 in japan, in the usa most of them are very expensive :sigh:

Good luck finding that manual.. I've read somewhere that you can buy it online..:scratch2:

Shouldn't be to hard to remove the front panel I guess?? just take a good look and work your way in patiently.

btw; you got nice pics on your site!, always candy for the eyes :thmbsp:
 
I know there are one or two AK members that have these units with the manual. Maybe they would be willing to do a scan for the Pioneer Manual Database?

I finally have one as well!! It came in from Austria just this afternoon, man it was a pain in the ** to take off the frontplate and replace the lamps in the Vu meters, one was broken so I decided to directly replace both. Overall condition is very nice, and 100% functional, it does show some scratches on both the front as well as the case, in the nearby future I will give the case some good treatment. For now it's fine:

Man I love seein' this old Pioneer gear live on!

btw I do have an original SD-1100 service manual but no good way to scan it. Would be quite a task taking pictures of each page too. 64 pages total. But if there's anything specific someone needs PM me I will see what I can do.

which tape matches the series, the tuner is the TX-9100 and the amp SA-9100, my 9100 is currently being repaired...
 
The cassettedeck to match this series is the CT-F7171..

BTW, I might receive complete scans of the usermanual later this week. So I'll keep you guys informed!

The TOTL for cassette deck for 1974 was the CT-F7171

The SA-9100 TX-9100 was TOTL for 1973-74

The SD-1100 Was 1972-78

So what your trying to match could easy run to 1975 and the CT-F9191 (Though it is physically much larger then the 9100's or SD-1100)

The CT-F-7171 is the same width as the other components you have. And has the same style face, cabinet and knobs.


OH and by the way I hate both of you........

Here I am with 3 pairs of 9100's and no scope how will I ever hold my head up.
