Pioneer SX-1250 Speaker Recommendation

I'll be receiving my fully restored Pioneer SX-1250 from @mattsd soon, and I'm looking for your collective wisdom regarding appropriate (preferably vintage) speakers to pair with the receiver. I've got a very nice pair of Polk Monitor 10's that I really enjoy, but I'd like to be sure they can handle the considerable power from the 1250. I listen to mostly classic rock, and I'm not looking to shake the windows. I'd prefer a detailed sound with some low end. Thanks!

I use Ohm 4's with mine good detail and imaging plenty of bass and they can shake the windows too

I don't think your Monitors will have a problem, especially since you say you're "not looking to shake the windows". Having an excessive amount of power is never a bad thing. Just because your amp is more powerful doesn't mean that the speakers will receive more power.
If you have a 20 watt amp and a 120 watt amp, if they are playing at the same volume into the same speakers, then the speakers are receiving the same amount of power from both amps.
