Pioneer SX-1250 with Phase Tech 8.5 speakers?

I've got a Pioneer SX-1250 (160 watts per channel into 8 ohms), which I've been using to drive a set of Phase Tech 8.5 speakers (4 ohms) on one speaker channel, and a pair of Larger Advents (8 ohms) on another speaker channel. The two sets of speakers are in different rooms, and I do not run both channels at the same time, but I'm wondering if I could? Is there a way to use all four speakers simultaneously?

At the same time, am I putting my Pioneer at risk by using these Phase Tech speakers in the first place, since the speakers are 4 ohm and the amp is rated at 8? I love the Phase Techs, but if it's a choice between the receiver and the speakers, I'm going with the Pioneer.

The 1250 can handle a 4 ohm load, albeit not as well as some.

Running both pairs simultaneously drops impedance down to around 3 ohms. Not advised.

If you want to do that, consider either a) a speaker selector switchbox with impedance protection or b) a second amp for the second pair, driven from the preamp out of the 1250.

Your Pioneer does have a 4 ohm rating, so running only the Phase Techs should be fine if receiver is working as it should.
JMO I'd probably not risk running the PT's and Advents at the same time.
One thing though, running the speakers of each channel in SERIES might work, though being in different rooms some creative wire routing might be needed.
As always, if I'm wrong I would hope someone would say so. And why I'm wrong.

If you want a speaker selector idea a good one is the pyle pss8 it is an 8 channel speaker selector. Have fun with your audio!
