Pioneer SX-1980 With Issues...What Do you Guys Think?

[VintagePlus]

I am considering purchasing this http://www.canuckaudiomart.com/details/222621-pioneer_sx1980_in_need_of_repair/ Does it sound like a decent deal considering the condition? Does the repair sound reasonably accurate?:scratch2:

$1200 for a pristine example needing repair / refurbishing....if I was in the hunt for one, I'd definitely consider it since restored versions sell well beyond 2K. If you're lusting for the King of the Pioneer receivers then I would go for it. Send it to a reputable repairman who will go through it completely so it will last another 30 years.

YMMV
