Pioneer sx-450 resistors

Pioneer sx-450 new resistors,i need your help please,i have just done a recap on my old sx-450 and plan to replace all resistors on amp side with metal film,i notice some of them stand on legs about 10mm high and are redish and a dull matt finish,are they a special type maybe fuse type or just none flame type,also what would you use to replace differential transistors 2sa725-f thanking you all gerry

As to the resistors, why replace them? The low end 450 won't see an improvement. Pioneer almost always used metal film resistors in the signal path. They have a "hot dog" appearance with clightly flared rounded ends, as opposed to carbon comp's rigidly cylindrical appearance.

If your DC offset looks OK . I wouldn't mess with the differentials.They need to be a very closely matched pair..My 2 peso's

Zener diode

Thanks for all your help on my sx-450 learning unit,i need to replace power supply zener diode wz-140 14 volts,and eqa01-35r 35 volts they are 500mw,i can get 500mw or 1.3w diodes,i can only get a 13 or 15 volt and 33 or 36 volt zener diode,is it ok to use them and which ones would you use,thanking you all gerry.

Use the 13v 500mW and 36v 500mW diodes
