This is a followup post to an SX-6000 I've been working on. The amp board had four blown transistors when I received it. I replaced all four transistors and all electrolytic caps on the amp board. After re-assembly I balanced the power supply voltage and adjusted bias. The right channel is weak. I injected a tone signal into the main input and checked the output signal with a scope and both signals matched. I then injected the signal into the aux input and checked the preamp outputs and the right output is weak.
The balance pot sounded horrible; I cleaned it but it was still very scratchy. Every few turns back and forth it would lock up. I removed it and found the plastic pressure plate was broken and in pieces. Does anyone know of a new replacement pot that would work?
