Pioneer SX-636 dial pointer light problem

After recapping my SX-636 and reassembling (with lots of wonderful assistance from this forum), I now realize that the dial pointer light is not working (or appears very dim).

Where is this light source located? I've looked though the schematics and see the lamp assembly AWX-072 and the dial pointer lamp 8v 50mA bulb... Also where is that voltage adjuster named s1-1F? Maybe it needs turned up?

Can someone please help?

The lamp is located at the top of the illuminated pointer,it's in a black plastic housing with 4 metal tabs holding it on,the lamp is tough to change out, the pointer is extremely fragile and breaks easily. I have broken a few in the past but I am extremely careful with those now.Good Luck!

There's no voltage adjustment,
The S1-1F number your asking about is a selector switch not a potentiometer.
Start off checking the obvious first, the bulb and connections. One side of the bulb goes to ground. So a broken ground can cause the problem.
If ok then check for voltage at the socket. From there it goes to a rotary selector switch though a 22 ohm resistor, so If your missing voltage at the socket
check the resistor. Voltage at the lamps is AC.
 
I realized that the S1-1F was the main selector switch after I posted.... This is great info regarding the pointer.

The dial pointer light was working when I started the fix and recap, so I'm leaning on the side that I broke a connection (most likely the ground). I will be checking that first. It's tough not to break something while I'm "fixing" something else! Having said that I am enjoying the sound of the recap on this unit.
