Pioneer SX-680 amperage usage

I'm looking for the amperage the Pioneer SX-680 draws from household current. I'm looking to find out how many amps I'm using on circuits through our house. The rear label states "AC 120 Volts, 60 Hz, 95 Watts". Using Amps=Watts/Volts, this works out to .7917 Amps. Can this be right, have I used the right formula? Less than a watt draw sounds low to me based on the requirements of other items. An average hair dryer can use 15Amps...Thanks!

95 watts is the amount it consumes at full volume. Are you using it at full volume all the time?
 
its also easy enough to get a KILL-O-WATT meter to plug into the wall. it will express the draw any way you want to read it either in watts or amps and the applied voltage and frequency. you can the increase the volume and see whats doing. and then you will know whats going on. i use one every time i power a vintage radio (tube stuff) up with a variac to see whats going on in the set its really a big help too but maybe variacs might not be a great idea with solid state stuff

Turned on with zero or low/average volume, probably around 15-25 watts, so like .15-.2 amps. A hair dryer is a different type of electronics and will draw a huge amount of power, yes.
