I have two SX-680s on my bench. The first one I got had 1 4A fuse on the main PCB near the rear panel AC outlets, and 5 fuses (left to right 1.5A, 1A, 1A, 5A, 5A) on a separate PCB labelled GWX-187 which was attached to the heatsink.
The second SX-680 also has the 4A fuse on the main PCB, and 2 5A fuses on the main PCB located near the STK modules. What's concerning me is the yellow marrette connector circled in the photo. It connects a blue wire from the transformer to a lighter gauge blue wire going to the lamps.
I've seen photos on the web showing a small PCB with a single fuse in this area. Wondering if this was a cost-cutting measure implemented at the factory or if this was done by a previous owner. Anybody seen a 680 like this?
