Pioneer SX-737 Dial Pointer Lamp Troubleshooting

Hello All! First time poster, but I am at my wits end for this part.

I was taking off the glued dial scale to access my SX-737's burnt-out lamps (with help from one of the lovely guides provided to this forum, of course), and my hand slipped and broke the plastic needle off the Dial Pointer. It was a fairly clean brake inside the black plastic component, which holds both the lamp and the needle. Naturally I applied Gorilla Glue to the break and carefully reinstalled it. However, the light no longer appears to be working.

Is this a result of the Gorilla Glue somehow blocking the lamp, breaking it, or a cruel coincidence?

It is likely a sad coincidence of the initial damage. This can be checked by measuring the resistance of the lamp filament. .
 
Could have killed the bulb. My first lesson with those was with an SX-535. Snapped the pointer twice. I think they are acrylic and snap very easily. Learned my lesson have not done it again. Used super glue to glue back together and coated the bottom at the box with some black automotive RTV since I was getting a second glowing spot there at the glue joint.

If the gorilla glue is not blocking the light then the filament probably broke in the bulb. It a little incandescent bulb can replace with LED and resistor combo or another small usually 8V 50 ma incandescent bulb. Have done pointer bulb replacement a few times. Helps in tuning to be able to see where the pointer is. Just had to relight an Onkyo TX-2500 pointer, uses a similar box arrangement that Pioneer did.

Broken filament will read open circuit, should probably read in the ballpark of 160 ohms based on ratings.
 
Hopefully I just killed the bulb. I'll go ahead and bust out my MM and check it out... Hopefully the bulb isn't glued in either. Last thing I want to do is replace the whole pointer because I made the mistake of using Gorilla Glue. I can't even seem to find a complete dial pointer in stock on the internet.

Most of the radio where I live is pretty trashy so not much is lost, excusing the aesthetic factor, of course.
