Hello,

How is the idea of connecting Pioneer SX 750 with Canton Karat 60 ?

Currently I am having Yamaha RX V1800 (7.1) with Canton Karat 60, I am more into Stereo that's why thought to have one dedicated stereo receiver.

My main concern is watt power mismatch between karat 60 and SX750 receiver.

Canton Karat 60 is 100/150W where Pioneer SX 750 is 50W per channel.

Will Pioneer SX750 be able to drive karat 60 well ?

If the speakers are not a true 8Ω impedance, don't even give it a second thought - Find a more appropriate speaker. If they are one of those marked "4...8 Ohm" you really need to find the impedance curves to determine if they will damage the amp.

IF they are actually 8Ω (doubtful) the "mismatch" is inconsequential. The fact that they are rated for 100W continuous and 150W peak does not necessarily they require that level of power. I've run HPM-100s (100/200W) with several of my SX-750s and they sound excellent, and the receiver drives them well despite that they can take 200W.

The next question is efficiency, and if they do not produce near or above 90dB/W they may not be very effective with the SX-750. The Canton website does not list specs for them, so it's not easy to find out if they are appropriate or not.

Any other Pioneer vintage from SX series which could be good match for my speakers having bass analog knob for solid bass ?
 
Not sure any vintage Pioneer SX is the best way to run 4ohm speakers. That seems like trying to pull a trailer with a classic 1965 Mustang. Maybe a pro-amplifier (like Crown) might be a better match for power hungry 4ohm load.
 
I power my AR90s with my SX-880 with great results at reasonable listening levels (meters not going above 1 / 1.5 watts - still loud enough for me). I'm having the SX modified by a highly skilled tech to provide some pre-outs, which I'm then going to feed into a Yorkville Beta 800 power amp - 400 wpc into 4 ohms :) This is mainly an experiment to see what difference having that kind of power available makes to the ARs. We shall see !
