Hi all, I’ve been eyeing a few different pioneer models and am wondering if someone who owns the following receiver might be able to explain what exactly the db bass and treble knobs do. Do they really do much or not really. I like listening at lower volumes and wondering if these features might help make bass more prevalent at quieter listening levels.
1. Sx 939 (and sx 1050) bass db knob. Does it simply add bass that might be missing at a lower volume, or decrease bass at higher volumes? If so, does it work well or is it more of a gimmick? Is it 50 hz specific or?
2. Sx 939 (& sx 1050) treble db knob. What exactly does this do? I’m guessing just increase the treble but again, is it really that noticeable or usable?
