Pioneer SX1010 On Milwaukee CL

A Pioneer SX1010 on Milw. CL lights up no sound $125 might be a nice easy fix for someone. Not mine

My philosophy is, "If it lights up, it's fix-able." At worst it might need some work-arounds or substitutes, but that's rare.

Looks like someone got a nice deal. Was it an AKer? Anyone want to fess up?

The lamps illuminate but nothing else happens- no aux output and no tuner meter movement.

Help is available in the Pioneer Audio Forum, I usually don't go looking for strays. plus outside matters have severely limited my AK time for a while - the 1hr 50 + mins tonight on AK are coming out of my sleep time...

check the psu board in the bottom center for cracks around the heat sink, a whack on the bottom hurts the board as the bottom whacks the heat sink and cracks the pc board, isolating the pattern.

if you find cracks, bridge them and test the transistors out of circuit. there are parts lists (caps, transistor subs) in the forum for 1010 power supply...

then look for blown fuses on it and post in the Pioneer Audio Forum.
