Hey all,
I have the chance to get a local deal for a Pioneer SX-434 receiver for and a PL-115 turntable for $30. The seller offered me a pair of Energy DB PLUS 880 speakers for another $30 or a Pioneer CS-911A for $50. The turntable does not have a headshell or cartridge and it will cost me at least $30 to buy. The Energy speakers were recently refoamed, but one of the binding posts are broken. How good is this deal? I will probably keep the receiver, the turntable is so cheap I don't think I would pass. What about the speakers? Any input is appreciated. Thanks.
