My Pioneer introduced quite a high level on hiss (not a hum) on the left channel in record mode at even the lowest record level. The right channel has no real perceivable hiss except at the high record level. I have grounded the unit, but the left channel hiss in record remains and shows up on recordings. There is no playback hiss on commercially recorded tapes or tapes recorded on my RT-707. I was hoping some forum members could help be troubleshoot and fix this problem. Thanks!
