Hi I have a pioneer PL-Z82 and I am having trouble with it,
My dad has had this turntable for years but I've decided to use it for myself and can't seem to set it up properly the arm won't stay on the vinyl properly. Any help is appriciated !

Here is a picture of the stylus I don't know if it's still ok I am new to the turntable thingI have tried using the turntable today and the tonearm won't go low enough to even touch the vinyl I don't have a clue what's wrong ? Here are some photos on the stylus area I can't see any model numbers

There does not appear to be any stylus/needle left on the cartridge.
Remove the cartridge from the tone arm, there should be a screw on the side of the headshell holding the cartridge in.
One you have remove the cartridge, you should be able to see make and model numbers on the heashell.
Post some more close up pictures of the cartridge after you have removed it from the headshell.
You can also use the the service manual for the Pioneer PL-Z 81 as a guide for the time being.

The needle ? I don't know what the cartridge is sorry I'm new to all thisGently and firmly pull the cartridge slightly downward and away from the headshell.
You may be able to remove it that way.
Don't force it.
