Hello fellow AK'rs and silver faced friends

can anyone please provide me with a pdf format or down-loadable manual for a tx 9500II tuner , i would really like to know what the output level control knob on the face of the unit is used for on my tuna , and the recomended setting , min, 12oclock , max . ? .

other than that i would just like to read up on some of the spec's and other features

thanks in advance ...Ken

Feel free to adjust the output level to what you like. You can adopt the FM volume to the one from the TT or CD that way that you have everything on the same level.

When you are listening to your tuner through the amp, turn the output control on your tuner either clockwise or ant-clockwise - you will hear the volume of the sound go up or down as you do it. Clockwise - louder, Anti-clockwise - quieter. Its like another kind of volume control.

It will depend on how you have it connected in your system, My 8500II has 2 sets of jacks, labeled fixed, and variable. If your patchcords go to the amp thru the Fixed jacks on the tuner, the volume is contolled stricktly from the amp, if you use the Variable outputs, you can "level match" the gain to match your other sources if you switch between them without having to touch the amp volume control. Usefull, unless you listen at high volumes and switch sources.

HOW COOL IS THAT .... i found the variable jack in the back of the tuner , i pluged the patchcord into them and VOILA. i now have two volume controlls . one on the tuner and the main one on the sa -7500 II amp

the only other source connected the the 7500 II amp and tx 9500 II tuner is a cheapo mintek cd player with some monster interconnects . and as far as my ears can tell the cd player already plays at a higher volume when switching between stereo and cd , so unless im doing something wrong i now can controll the tuner;s volume with the output lever controll but it still has no effect on cd player's volume so how can i use this configuration to ajust the cd's output volume to match that of the tuner insted of the other way around as it is now ?

ps , and thanks to all who have replied .

What I do with my TX 9500 is turn the output to min, turn the amp output to about 75% or better, and crank the TX from there. Sometimes it's a mix and match to find a sweet spot.
