Pioneer TX-9800 TX-7800 tuner Question

Solid walnut covers all my gear
can anyone tell me if a Pioneer TX-9800 and a TX-7800 take the same wood case, I wasn't able to find the service manual to find the part number to look it up on the Pioneer parts web site any info would be helpful .

next on my list is cases for my Pioneer Spec 1 & 4 I half to do them before I run out of walnut after that I have about 15 orders to fill and then 14 kitchen cabinets to make.
My tree guy retired last year so I lost my source for walnut I would buy the hole trunk from him he would rough saw it and take to kill to dry it all's I had to do was pick it up oh yea and pay for it.
 
The Spec cases? Have you constructed them before? Sound very cool.
Sorry about the thread hijack. I would love to see the progress on the cases.

The TX-9800 and TX-7800 cabinets are of the same physical dimensions and are interchangeable.
 
Sorry for the old thread but can I assume if the wooden case is interchangeable then the metal case should be as well? Thank you
