Hi to all here,
I have a question for you.
I am in searching of a very good tunner:

I found locally an Pioneer TX-9800 at 350 euro, quite expensive, but i can afford it.
I am a fan of Sansui tunners and amplifiers and i have quite a few (almost) TOTL sansui but maybe it is worth to try something else if really good.

I was in searching of an sansui TU 9900 or 717 or similar but i canot find here from about 2 year of searches but instead i foud localy this Pioneer TX-9800 .

If you have any sansui tunner to compare with TX-9800, cand you give me some informations?
Fm tunnerinfo sincerly i canot trust too much.
Thank you all

It's a five-gang tuner with five FET RF stages, four ceramic filters in three stages in the IF, narrow band gain/rejection, and a fairly sophisticated PLL for both bands. Its closest offering in the Sansui line might be the TU-9900, but there is variability in the design features between them.

You didn't ask for a curve-ball, but here it comes...

The Kenwood KT-9900 could be superior to either of them in some aspects.

Thank you,
I found yesterday some comparirions ( from forums) that is inferior to some medium sansui tunners..:( and sansui tu-9900 is about on top.
Also on fmtunnerinfo on the last shootout is in quite low on position..maybe 40 position

I am thinking now for an Sony ST-A6 i found in my country for about 140 euro..But so few informations about sound.
Thank you
