Can someone please give me any info on a Pioneer RT-707 Reel to Reel Deck such as are they worth buying or should I look for a RT-909...Thanks Rick.:scratch2:

707

I love my RT-707. Definitly worth buying. Never saw or touched an RT-909, probably even better. I'd take either home for the right price but its been a long time since I've been into tape. The RT-707 is a sweet piece of gear.

Thanks guy:thmbsp:

I have both and they are both excellent machines. I would probably go with the RT-707 if you only plan on playing 7" tapes. The RT-909 adds 10.5" reel capability. Both are very well built.

I have the 707 and a 701. They are built like tanks and the transport mechanism has no belts. The only belt in the machine drives the tape counter only.
