Hi all, I have a Phase Linear 400 and would like to test it. I do not have a preamp and would like to not blow anything up, especially speakers :) Can I hook up my Sansui 711 to it at low volume? Any suggestions would be appreciated. I just want to see if the unit is working. Thanks, Mark

Look in the back of the receiver and see if it has pre out connection. With jumpers.

You'll want to check voltage on PL 400 outputs as well (make sure it's under 0.5V), and fuse your speakers, (say 1.0 to 2.0 amp) prior to connecting and trying this out unless you have some speaks you don't care about ruining. As well as what superdog said.

Sadly no pre out connections, but the fuse's are all good. So I plugged it in and it hums a little with my ear right on it and the meter lights are off. Guess I need a multimeter for more testing.
