Pl-41 Motor Temperature

Hello all! Been lurking for a while, beholden to all the Pioneer PL-41 wisdom over here as I get mine up to snuff (got it two weeks ago and have it spinning at perfect speed now and I love it). Though it's spinning wonderfully, I noticed the motor feels warm. Despite the existing threads having answers to all my questions so far (thrust bearing, correct belt thickness, tone arm damping fluid, dust cover buffing, and more), I can't find an answer to one question. So here it is. Help me Audiokarma people, you're my only hope.

1. I added about three drops of Technics oil to the motor via the labeled oil hole. How do I know if that's enough? This thing had been sitting idle for a lonnnnng time, so I'm assuming that the wicks/reservoir could possibly be bone dry. Or does it even work like that?

Thanks for all your help!

edited to add: forgot to mention that the motor was running warm
