I know these aren't necessarily two turntables that are usually compared, but they are the two 1970's-era Pioneer TTs that I'm regularly seeing in my price range at the moment, so I wanted to query the audiokarma brain on them.

So, if you had the option between a PL-518 and a PL-55X, assuming the same price and both in the same condition, which would you choose? (And why, if you feel up to it.)

I voted for the 518.
It’s a classic table and performs well.
It’s got classic late 70s aesthetics.
