PL-600 Straight arm, cuing damping?

PL-600 Straight arm, cueing damping?

Good Afternoon,

I have a question about the cueing damping on the newer PL-600 fully auto tt.
This is the less expensive straight arm model, sounds pretty good for a low end series.

The arm drops without any damping. Is there a place to add fluid or adjust this?:scratch2:

I am guessing that this is too low end for posting here. Nice TT though.

No, it's not too low end. I think it's just that it's not well known technically.

It may require silicone damping paste the same as many other models. In most models, if you can't figure out where/how to apply the stuff, just smearing the goop on the arm lift shaft and forcing it down into the housing will work adequately. If this one doesn't work that way then you may be on your own.

Yup I guess so,I can hear the echo in my head,LOL. I picked two Pioneers up a while ago, PL-600,PL-570 for future repair. Well it was time to move them to a new home.
PL-600 is a nice TT, fully auto and upgradable. The PL-570 not so much, only the cart can be changed to another P mount.

I am guessing that is why someone drilled the hole in the top of the cueing arm.
