PL-730 needing love

I just obtained a PIoneer PL-730. I grabbed it at an estate sale. It was filthy with an 1/8" of dust. It did not come with a cover. Someone broke the needle off and I went out and baught a new stylus for 80 bucks, so I am invested now. I played it and it sounds like Alven and the Chipmunks. The speed adjuster will not fix it and the start stop and repeat button are wacked out. I think it needs a deoxit bath but I am not sure how to get this thing apart. I have pulled a few receivers apart, but never a turn table.

Anyone have any instructions on how to take this apart?

Welcome to the AK turn table forum.

There is no service manual for that model in the Vinylengine library.

Use the Pioneer PL-5 service manual as a substitute.

Ak member "beej" is very knowledgeable about the turn tables in this series.

PM him first before doing any major . :D
