Placing bookshelf speakers upside down?

Hey guys. I was wondering if anyone did this or if anyone had any reasons why I shouldn't. With my setup the Tweeter would be much closer to head level and easier to angle if I place my bookshelf speakers upside down. Would this cause any issues with the way my setup would sound or would it improve it slightly due to better tweeter placement? Thanks!

sure. there are recording studios where the monitors are up higher and turned upside down.
 
My epi100 are flipped as they're up on the wall next to the TV which sits atop the center channel

I had them the other way for months
It makes a difference with movies and music
 
Some mission speakers also have the tweeters under the mid bass drivers. Can't see any reason why it would be a problem.
 
Sometimes woofers produce better balance when they are closer to the floor. You wont get a definite opinion since we dont know your setup. Why not try it and see? Be adventurous.
 
There will be no problem with speakers turned upside down. I remember reading in Stereophile that a reviewer did this often. The key benefit is to get the tweeter as close to ear level as possible.
 
I put a pair of Realistic Nova 6's upside down for use in a small Home Theater set up as the right and left channels. Right side up they sounded good. Upside down they sound so much better that I'll never change it back. Tweeters are now just slightly below ear level. before they were slightly above.
 
My RSL 6600s -for all intents and purposes- are just two 3300 monitors with one stacked upside down on top of the other.
They sound great.
