Platter Vibration on Sony PS-X555ES turntable

Hi folks
I've had my PS-X555ES linear tracking turntable since 1985. It has been used at least once a week for about the last 10 years or so. About a month ago, it developed a vibration when the platter is spun. With no power on and turning the platter by hand you can see the platter vibrating a bit. Any ideas out there what might be causing it?

Again, it does it even if there is no power on, so I don't think it's the motor... but one of you folks have likely encountered this.... Thoughts?

loose motor mount:dunno:

hopefully something so simple

The motors are supposed to be maintenance free meaning lifetime lubrication but it is almost 40yrs old.

I'm not familiar with your table, but sometimes with old TTs the oil and grease dries up and needs to be cleaned and replaced. The suggestion to check for loose screws or set screws is a good idea too.
