I decided to set up an old pioneer SA-1050 integrated that I had tucked away for a while. I planned to use my smart phone as the source with a 3.5mm TRS to RCA cable patched in to the AUX of the integrated. After set up was completed i powered on. Relays clicked in without delay so I pressed play on the youtube app on my phone while the volume dial was at zero. ....
Now, i instantly noticed that when I turned up the dial, the woofers on my Technics SB-7000a's sucked up into the baskets and as soon as I took my hand off of the dial the woofers reset to normal positioning. Naturally, I grabbed the dial and turned the volume back down. The woofers in a direct response to the volume dial pushed outward this time.....
Whats going on???
