please help, how to remove headshell socket from tone arm

Hi all, I seem to be having trouble removing the headshell stock from the tone arm to replace the wires, I do NOT want to force anything but is there a secret to removing this??? I thought it would just pull out, but I am having NO such luck.

From the photo, you seem to have already pulled the screw.

If you have a headshell you can maybe sacrifice, attach it to the collar and twist gently. After that, maybe penetrating lubricants or heat from a hairdryer. I’ve worked on collars that were everywhere from just fell out to ain’t no way.

Good luck with it. If you get it out be sure to post the process and results.
