Please help identify this tweeter

I've owned this beast of a tweeter for a decade or two.
It is over 6" across and is over 10 lbs.
I can't remember where it came from.
I contacted Wilson Benesch a couple of years ago, but they said that it is not one of theirs.
Can someone help me identify it and/or/ where it goes. Someone might need it.

Very nice of you to take the time to do the research. Now if I could get Tom Johnson, Diane Humphries, Mitchell Lapman, Denny Ng, or Steve Ford, (inventors of the Demolding Apparatus) to share with me where they got this generic horn driver in 1996, I am off to the races. (Yes I know, it sounds impossible) thanks again
 
What does the throat diameter measure, 1 inch or 1.4?

It is almost certainly imported out of Guangzhou, possibly Taiwan.

Hard to source Zomax catalogs online anymore, but i'll bet that thing's likeness shows up in at least one of them.

Given the OP's location, this driver may have been exported to Canada and NOT the USA which will make it a bit harder to nail down.

Altec, or Altec/EV large format standard, that might help narrow things down.

The lack of any made in declaration suggests to me that it didn't originate in, and was not exported to the USA.
