please help me decide how to use my free subwoofer

I'm in utah and in need of a decent TT that keeps it's speed and doesn't sound like ****? I will drive her and meet somewhere possibly too, cool that someone might need this sub, I really don't want to scrap it. maybe I should move this thread though? it probably is breaking rules, and I don't wanna do that cause I dig AK. cheers!
 
Hmmm...Utah is a long way from Minnesota too, and I don't have any business travels that I know of taking me that way.
 
I decided to break my back almost and bring the bastard back downstairs into the man-cave. and I realized that using an iPod as a source to test a subwoofer is not recommended. now that it is connected to the 4v pre-out of the yamaha, it sings pretty good before distorting. It could use a dedicated monoblock amp someday. but for now, I got some serious lower frequency response, just can't turn it up much yet.
