Please help me identify these Angstrom speakers

I just picked up a set of 5 Angstrom loudspeakers used for $129 CAD. Seemed like a decent deal. The problem is that there's no model number or any information on the back. I don't know the impedance of these or anything. All it says on the back is Angstrom Omega Series. And the serial number of the one bookshelf speakers is 47357. Any help with these would he appreciated. I'm driving these with a Harman Kardon HK 770 amp.

If you have access to an OHM meter you can find out what the impedance is...(APROX). If you get a reading of say 4-6 ohms I'd say they were an 8 ohm Impedance. If you read higher the 8 Ohms I'd say they are 16 Ohm. If you read lower the 4 ohms then I'd say they were 4 ohm.

Also while you have the leads connected ...very gently press on the woofer in and out and yo will see the reading change. You can also disconnect those jumper strios and measure each set of terminals.

Also they look like they could be Bi-Amped judging by the pic you posted. I can see straps between the two inputs.

I don't think they are 4 ohms after seeing those jumper strips. The ohm meter will give you an answer.

Thank you very much for the advice. I don't have an Ohm meter, but was planning on getting one anyway. The speakers do sound pretty good, but not as impressive as my old trusty Paradigm 9se MkII. I'm not really surprised because the Paradigms have two bass woofers per speaker whereas the Angstrom bookshelf ones just have one.

Just remember, when checking impedance with a multimeter you'll be getting a slightly lower reading that what the speakers are rated at. For instance, most 8 ohm drivers will measure between 6 and 7 ohms.

I had a pair of RSL speakers that used that tweeter, and I really liked them. Those look like they were worth what you paid!

Thank you and yes they do sound pretty good to my ears so far! I did some digging around online and, while I didn't find any definitive info on this particular speakers, I found that Angstrom towers from the same era were 6 ohm. I'm going to try the ohm meter regardless.
