Please help me identify this speaker.

I don't have physical access to these - just this picture. I've spent hours searching images on the net - to no avail. Hopefully someone on here can help...

They are used in a 40wpc tube system where every piece is from the early/mid-60s. I believe the speakers may be from the same time period. Any help would be appreciated. Sincerely!

Man those look promising! Probably the only way to determine what they are is to remove the back cover (assuming it’s screwed on) and get a look at the drivers inside. It was common back in that day to purchase fine cabinets from a cabinet company and load them with drivers from a speaker manufacturer such as Electro Voice, Altec, Jensen, JBL, and a host of others. I really like the swivel base on the ones you are considering. If I was nearby, I would be seriously investigating them.

My guess is University, Likely medallion XII. From the 1963 time period. They had a number of grill styles to fit different decorating schemes. Very good speakers, especially for tube systems.

University called those grills "contemporary" and I think the best looking of the five. You're welcome and I think you will like them very much. I have two pairs myself.
