Offhand, I'd say they are remnnants of inexpensive stereo systems, or "phonographs" sold in mass-market stores for teenagers.

The ones on the top right kind of look like Macintosh ML-1C's which might be worth getting if the price is right. I don't recognize any of the others. Those round ones I've never liked....personally.

that's some pretty expensive lookin kindling right there...

Of course, I am probably wrong. Might be worth checking out if you want some full range drivers. I seem to remember something about those round speakers holding fostex drivers? :dunno:

Ditto the ones on the right. My first thought was Mac as well.

It made me think of these, but on closer inspection clearly not.

The "Circle of Sound" krap is just that. The blue-looking pair fits together and was part of a tape deck. Other smalls are misc crap.

At first I thought the one on the right was four speakers. Closer inspection shows two speakers or one cab. :scratch2: That might be worth a look. Who know's maybe there would be some fullrange speakers in the lot, if cheap, worth experimenting with.

What else might the seller be hording.. you never know, I've seen some people with nice 70's recievers driving crappy speakers. Usually an older person that a younger person put together.

I'm a vintage speaker junkie and have been buying speakers for 20 years. If there is a bunch of speakers for sale and some are obviously Lo-Fi, then the others are almost certain to be the same. Just my $.02 worth.
