16" BROADCAST TRANSCRIPTION TONEARM - Please help me identify it

Hello, I just bought this tonearm (16 inches?) I haven't received it yet and I need some help in identifying it. It has been repainted but the seller said he kept the original colors. The counter weight, counter weight adjust & finger lift are 'Red' & the rest of the Tonearm appears to be a type of 'Hammertone dark gray/light black', the tonearm base in chrome. I will post more pics as soon as it arrives.

Thanks and have a good night

Thats what I thought at first until I compared it to both of my Audax. I looked for over an hour tonight for information on this. and It looks like a combination of about 4 different Classic Tonearms

I'm no expert but the construction details sure make it look DIY. Seems a little crude for a manufactured product.

Well, A lot of the tonearms in that era had this type of style; straight & not much to the design. With a bunch of clones of higher quality tonearms floating around, who knows what some companies were coming up with back then.

The two blemishes below the headshell area look like there was probably some type of wire hook up there at some point. The seller said it came from some old guy that never had a chance to finish it.

I worked on a fishing boat named the Norma K III in Point Pleasant New Jersey.

I'm sure this is of no help.

Good luck
