I should be there for an hour or so, but won't be bringing the Nottingham (too heavy to schlep). I'll most likely bring my Planar 3 and a preamp, so bring some LPs!

-D

hey guys, i have a small sony reel to reel, it was a consol pull, works , in good shape, I can bring it tomorrow for free if anyone wants it. Im moving and some stuff has got to go. let me know

Trying to decide, bring my yamaha M4 system with a newly acquired CA-1000 integrated amp as the pre-amp with Klipsch KG-4 or the JBLs ORR bring the big boy KR-9600 instead of the Yammies? Decisions...

Sorry I won't be able to make it up there today but wanted to tell you guys to have a great time. Please someone take some pics so we can kinda join in on the fun as well.
Thanks for settin' this up Will.

Important note! Sir Byrd's map is in error! This is on the corner of NE 50th Street and Roosevelt in the U-District. I hope that everybody realizes this.

Looks like a nice gathering. Some very fine equipment for show and sale and I'll bet some very nice tunes as well. I'm glad you guys got to get together. Sorry I missed it.

Will:

Thank you very much for organizing the event - it was great fun! Old friends, new friends, old gear, new gear. What could be better? :D

(Please forgive me while reading the section below as my memory is terrible and I cannot remember all of the attendees' names...)

We were treated to:

Will's recent amp and speaker builds (sweeter in person that here on AK in photographic form, for sure).

Dave from Spokane's nice Sony/NAD/Adcom/Infinity reel-to-reel setup.

Tor's BIG Concept receiver, ADS speakers, and the coolest antenna I have ever seen. After attending three of the Pacific Northwest AK events and helping to carry gear in from the parking lot I am beginning to wonder if Concept every built a small receiver... Tor's daughter helped him get it all set up!

Derek's nice Rega TT.

A pair of surprisingly nice sounding PVC pipe-housed speakers sourced from Goodwill that originated as a Penn State University audio engineering class project.

Steve (Susurus on AK), as always, brought some sweet Yamaha amps and a pair of beautiful Sony speakers that were pretty darn nice, although I had to duck out before he really had a chance to show them off.

Dick's Big Boxes 'O Vinyl For Sale.

Dave's old gear that needs a new home garage sale.

We had visitors from Vancouver, Washington, Vancouver, B.C. (thanks for coming, John!), not to mention Roger from Ballard (our local tube audio guru - thanks for coming, Roger!).

I survived the day, needing only three Band-Aids and suffering only one dented dust cap.

A great AK day!

Arthur (Tarior) - you were sorely missed!

Here is the last batch.

I forgot to mention it before, but the definite highlight of the event was my never before seen in public EPI 100 drivers mounted in my first home-built cabinet, painted with Benjamin Moore's finest with a fine-nap roller

Wish I could have made it. To many irons in the fire and big camera glass purchases stressed the financials a bit to much this year. Congrats to Will for getting the event together! :thmbsp:

Nice to meet everybody today. I really enjoyed myself. Those PVC speakers were my $19.99 find at Edmonds GW. They use German 'Axon' drivers. Thanks to Spalls for powering them up. Your EPI's sounded really big! Will, you did a great job organizing this and thanks again for the cords and sci-fi pots. -Rich
